It has been proven that we blindly trust experts and authority figures. The more “letters” next to a name on a business card, the better. This third edition in the Perspectives Series explores the relationship we have with the professional experts that we rely upon to help us make intelligent and sound decisions, including capital investments and other financial decisions. Does adhering to the advice of experts, such as investment managers or financial planners, achieve our need to mitigate and reduce risk in the real world, as we seek to make sound, intelligent investments that yield strong returns?
